We Have Been Awarded ISO 27001:2018 Information Security Certification
November 14th, 2019 – Maxcode, a company tailored on providing first-rate web-based enterprise applications and on implementing the finest payments and digital identity software applications, has been granted ISO 27001:2018 Information Security certification. This is invaluable for monitoring, reviewing, maintaining and improving the information security management system, and for offering partner organizations and customers greater confidence in the way they interact with our business, in accordance with international standards.
The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) is a non-governmental, international entity that develops standards to ensure the quality, safety, and efficiency of products, services, and systems. These standards exist in many areas of industry and are in place to ensure consistency. ISO ultimately offers companies a layout on what needs to be done in order to meet the standards, while also ensuring that they have the right tools in place to do so.
The ISO/IEC 27000 family of standards assists organizations in keeping information assets secure. ISO/IEC 27001 is the best-known standard in this family, providing requirements for an information security management system (ISMS), i.e. a management framework of policies and procedures that will keep the information secure, whatever the format.
Implementing an ISMS provides a course of action to eliminating or minimizing the risk of a security breach. This helps Maxcode manage the security of assets such as financial information, intellectual property, employee details or information entrusted to us by clients and other third parties.
The fact that Maxcode has been awarded ISO 27001:2018 Information Security certification demonstrates that we have identified the risks, assessed the implications and put in place systemized controls to limit any information security damage to the organization. What does ISO 27001:2018 Information Security mainly attest to our clients?
- Increased reliability and security of systems
- Information security risks assessments
- Alignment with customer requirements
- Improved management processes and integration with corporate risk strategies
It ultimately certifies that Maxcode’s clients will benefit from reliability and additional security of systems and information, which only leads to a stronger and more improved customer and business partner confidence.
Information security is a general business problem, not just one encountered by IT companies. Security is a byproduct of risk management. By the end of the day, this means one less thing Maxcode’s clients have to worry about.
